Thanks sister, that's exactly the point I was hoping would be brought out. I feel this way, just not sure about most others who I've shared the scenario with. They all too often dismiss the differences between the two instead of seeing the call for ALL of us to be fulfilling the mandate of the Great commission.

Christian mission? Not quite sure what you mean by that. Nothing is to come before Christ (Luke 14:26) if we are following Him! We all have the same Commission.

His mission for us is to be our life, I believe (Ephesians 2:10)! Whether He desires marriage to be part of that to assist in glorifying Him, or not, needs to be guided by Him. If He's not the one leading, then our priorities are definitely off! Our LIFE, and all that includes, is His and we are not our own! :)

Well, the family is a mission field (to your kids) and certainly there are plenty of lost people around the neighborhood that you don't need to be a professional or leave the country to be a missionary. Having said that, there is still a need for laborers to go and preach the Gospel.
